Policy
Where we stand on how AI should work for people.
We're a small European software company building on top of AI. The rules being written now will shape what companies like ours can build. Here's what we believe they should protect.
Your data should be portable
People and businesses should be able to move their work — documents, knowledge, AI history — between tools and providers without loss. We support portability rights for AI services and build alexandr to meet them before they're required.
AI needs open competition
A healthy AI ecosystem has many strong model providers, including open and locally runnable models. We favour interoperability standards that let products work across providers, and oppose arrangements that lock customers in.
Rules should fit the size of the risk
We support thoughtful regulation, including the EU's approach of matching obligations to risk. We ask that rules stay clear and proportionate, so small European companies can comply without being shut out by the cost.
AI should make professionals stronger
The best use of AI is to give skilled people more leverage, with humans in charge of decisions that matter. We design for oversight, and support policies that keep accountability with people.
Building from Europe
sosofresh has been based in Bucharest since 2015. We think Europe can build AI products the world wants to use — products that treat privacy and user control as features, not obstacles. We want regulation that rewards companies for building that way, and an ecosystem where a small team can still compete on quality.
How we engage
We share our perspective openly, here and in our news. Our positions follow from the commitments we make about alexandr: we only advocate for rules we're prepared to follow ourselves.
